Paradise Birmingham

Gratitude is a spectacular public art installation, created by global public art producers Wild in Art, which honours and pays tribute to the ongoing courage and dedication of NHS Staff and all key workers during the pandemic and captures the extraordinary experiences that have connected us through these most challenging of times.

Free to visit, the exhibition has been curated in partnership with creative ambassador Dame Zandra Rhodes and consists of 51 sculptures, all designed by professional artists and designers from across the UK. Enclosed by mirrors on two sides, Gratitude creates infinite reflections of the stunning artwork highlighting the endless dedication of all key workers, and enables visitors to become part of an immersive experience and reflecting the contributions of the entire population.You can visit Gratitude at Chamberlain Square, Paradise Birmingham from 20-30 August 2021 before it moves on to visit Manchester, Edinburgh and London.In autumn 2021, the sculptures will be auctioned with substantial proceeds donated to NHS Charities Together (Registered Charity Number 1186569), which supports the NHS, including its hospitals, ambulance services, community and mental healthcare providers and vital partnerships.

Gratitude has been created by Wild in Art who also produced the hugely successful Birmingham trails The Big Hoot 2015 and The Big Sleuth 2017. Gratitude Birmingham is supported by Birmingham Location Sponsor Wesleyan, along with the host of other businesses and organisations who have generously supported the project.<h3>Dates and Times</h3>Monday - Thursday: 11:00 - 19:00 (last entry 18:15)Friday - Sunday and Bank Holiday: 10:00 - 18:00 (last entry 17:15).<h3>Important Ticket Information</h3>Tickets are free but you must reserve a ticket in advance for an allocated time slot. Each time slot lasts 45 minutes. Please arrive in good time for the start of your allocated time slot. As we expect the event to be very busy, we are unable to admit latecomers into the next time slot. Everyone in your booking party requires a ticket and must arrive together.<h3>Frequently Asked Questions</h3>Where is Gratitude Birmingham?Gratitude Birmingham will take place at Chamberlain Square, Paradise Birmingham.Do I have to bring my ticket with me?Yes! Once you have reserved your tickets, you will receive an email confirmation with your ticket attached as a PDF. Your ticket includes a QR code which grants you access to the event. Please bring a print-out of your ticket (which is downloadable from your confirmation email) a screenshot of the ticket on your phone or show your ticket via the Eventbrite app. Please do not bring your email confirmation as this isn’t a ticket. If you don’t have your ticket you won’t be able to enter the event.Can I reserve tickets on the door?No, all tickets must be booked in advance. There won’t be any tickets available to book on the door.When should I arrive for my time slot?  Please arrive in good time for the start of your allocated time slot. As we expect the event to be very busy, we are unable to admit latecomers into the next time slot.Do I need to bring ID to enter the event?No, you don’t need to bring ID with you – just your ticket.Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, as long as you have a ticket that's no problem but you may be asked to be asked to provide contact tracing information or scan in with the NHS Covid-19 app to comply with any Covid-19 restrictions that may apply at the time of your visit. Can I bring a bag?For the safety and comfort of our visitors, large bags, rucksacks, suitcases or shopping bags are not permitted inside the event.Can I bring my dog?Unfortunately we are not able to allow dogs (except Guide and Assistance Dogs).How can I contact the organiser with any questions? If we haven’t answered your question above, please contact us at tickets@thisisgratitude.co.uk
