Dartmoor Hill Farm Project (DHFP) was set up to try to ensure a viable future for Dartmoor farmers. 2023 will be our 20th Anniversary, for the past 20 years DHFP has supported farmers on Dartmoor to establish and run a wide range of projects to add value to their businesses and to increase vocational skills. Our work aims to help underpin a stronger and more robust and resilient future, adapting to the current changes. There is a small team of staff who are based in Princetown and can be contacted on 01822 890913 or emailed at hfp@dartmoor.gov.uk. The project is hosted by Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) with additional funding from the Princes Countryside Fund, DNPA and the Duchy of Cornwall.

​We act as a central hub for Dartmoor farmers for a wide range of enquiries and assistance and send out regular newsletters with relevant information and topical issues to our database of nearly 400 farms. Our events are often free of charge, developed to reflect the current needs or interests from our farmer audience and to provide skills and training to support their farm business.

​Our emphasis is on assisting farmers with advice, guidance, collaborative activities, communication and funding.
