N&N member and experienced Newcastle City Guide Tony Stephenson explores Newcastle upon Tyne's cinemas and theatres in this illustrated and nostalgic talk.

The first purpose-built theatre in Newcastle dates from 1747 and the first motion pictures from 1896. This talk explores the Theatres and Cinemas in Central Newcastle. Discover where Houdini and Miss D'Jeck performed, where three bears escaped from and where the Iron Man is.

Tony is a Newcastle & Gateshead City Guide, born and brought up in Newcastle's west end, member of the N&N and runs a Scout Group in Lemington
