Since 2007 Preston Youth Theatre has been the premier youth theatre company for the city. With 22 productions in 8 years PYT has delivered outstanding professional standard theatrical opportunities for hundreds of children and young people. Following the completion of an R&D programme funded by Arts Council England through their Grants for the Arts Scheme PYT are based in their own studio space, Unit 2. This multi-functional arts space provides a stable home as the young people look to a bright future.Membership of PYT is open to all children and young people aged 6 - 18 years old. The company meets every Saturday from 10am - 2pm with additional opportunities throughout the year.Preston Youth Theatre is delivered in a strategic partnership between Bluestreak Arts and Bordello Theatre.To find out more about PYT or to become a member please contact angela@bluestreakarts.net

Preston Youth Theatre

<P>Preston Youth Theatre in association with Bordello Theatre presents Charles Dickens’ classic tale. When the orphan Pip is invited to the house of the mysterious Miss Havisham, he falls in love with her beautiful adopted daughter Estella. Then with the generosity of an unknown benefactor he is sent to London to become a gentleman and throughout this transformation his love for her is one thing remains unchanged.  Filled with unexpected twists and turns the story of the unassuming Pip and the shocking truth behind his change of fortune is a tale not to be missed. This amateur youth theatre production is suitable for children and families of all ages but with grown up themes it is most suitable for children aged over 8 years old.</P>
