Green Impact for Health Conference July 3rd 2024

Hosted by Frome Medical Practice in conjunction with Royal College of General Practitioners Severn Faculty.

Following on from our successful Green Impact 2019 event with the RCGP, join us at Frome Medical Practice for a day on 3rd July 2024 which is dedicated to exploring and building a sustainable well-being economy and fostering a greener, healthier community. This event invites colleagues to come together to share insights, learnings, and strategies for accelerating progress by collaborating across institutions.

We'll delve into discussions on the tangible benefits of carbon-saving initiatives and their positive impact on health outcomes. Whether through national movements or grassroots community efforts, we'll showcase how every action, big or small, within Primary Care can contribute to effective, sustainable change.

Background: Frome Medical Practice embarked on its sustainability journey in 2017, prioritising environmental responsibility. Within just 12 months, they achieved the prestigious RCGP Gold rating on the Green Impact toolkit, becoming a national leader in eco-friendly healthcare practices. Recently, they've reached the esteemed Platinum standard, setting a new benchmark for excellence.

Their commitment to sustainability extends beyond accolades, with notable projects such as securing National Lottery Climate Action Funding for collaborative endeavours with Frome Town Council and Edventure. This additional funding will amplify engagement in the community and advance action in primary care for another two years in Frome.

Frome Medical Practice actively collaborates with the Somerset Integrated Care Board to inspire and assist other practices in Somerset to attain RCGP toolkit accreditation, solidifying their dedication to social and environmental impact.

Due to limited spaces, we are kindly asking that no more than two tickets per Practice.
