A4 Arts Foundation

Bring your little ones for a fun morning of drawing at the museum. This workshop is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
Within the magnificent space of Zeitz MOCAA, children will envision their FREESPACE of the future. 
In this inspirational workshop, children create a series of engaging drawings and mark-making activities, where they will learn about elements of space that make up their environment and will learn sustainability principles in a fun and energised creative environment. 
Led by experienced teachers, children will be inspired by the space and encouraged to explore a range of drawing and collage techniques. 
The results will be captured in a series of postcards which will be exhibited as part of the #FREESPACE sculptural installation outside the Zeitz MOCAA and will be sent to the Mayor of Cape Town, communicating your children’s hopes and dreams for the future. 
Schedule: 
10am – 1pm. Age 6 – 12
 
* Parents or guardians (accompanying children) with Zeitz MOCAA Membership enjoy free admission. Admission will apply for non-members. Purchase your annual membership unlimited access to the museum for a year, amongst other beneﬁts. Membership starts at only R270.
* In order for your children to participate in these workshops, please accompany them to the Centre for Art Education on Level -1. Please do not leave your children unaccompanied in the reception area.
 
This workshop is undertaken by Zeitz MOCAA’s Centre for Art Education.
The Centre for Art Education is a space for the development of educational and enrichment programmes for all. This accessible platform provides the tools and language for the appreciation of artistic practice from Africa and its Diaspora.
Working closely with the other Centres at Zeitz MOCAA, and other educational institutions in the surrounding communities, the Centre for Art Education is responsible for a well-rounded, multi-faceted programme, designed to accommodate the
 needs of all.
All events are free.
