About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

This three-hour workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to gain and enhance their knowledge of grief and bereavement.

The course will explore Anticipatory Grief, consider what it is, and examine its implications in practice. Some of the theories and models of grief and bereavement will be explored to see if they help Healthcare Professionals understand people’s reaction to loss.

Participants will consider factors which may potentially impact on a person’s ability to cope with bereavement, including disenfranchised grief, and why people find it hard to support the bereaved. Strategies and resources will then be identified that may help support those who are bereaved.
