C﻿hris is known locally for his involvement in local environmental initiatives like Friends of Emersons Green Park, the community nature reserve and Emersons and Lyde Community Energy. In his latest course, Making Peace with the Earth, he draws from an extensive and varied career, not only as an environmental entrepreneur, launching initiatives such as the Bristol Pound, but also a research scientist and thinker who has published four books, the latest of which is entitled 'Imagination is the key to unlocking the environmental crisis'.
