Founded in 2013, Turf Projects is the first entirely artist-run contemporary art space in Croydon, South London.Established by creatives with a personal connection to the borough, Turf now comprises; a gallery space exhibiting work from emerging and established artists; an artists workspace and events space; and a small studio provision for artists and makers.We endeavor to create free, high quality exhibitions and events for Croydon both at our workshop & gallery space in the Whitgift Centre and out in the Croydon community.

Groundwerk

Groundwerk is a monthly series of free practical workshops designed for artists and creatives wishing to gain the skills to support their practice.

How do clothing designers transform their ideas into realities? In this practical workshop, led by Turf studio member Theresa Dodzro, learn about pattern cutting tools and techniques. We will look at methods of measuring our bodies to get the best clothing fit, and will create our own patterns for making a skirt. Sign up by Monday 23rd November to be sent a pack of materials you will need for the workshop. This workshop is free to attend and open to all but booking is necessary, as spaces are limited. It will take place online via Zoom. Once you have booked, you will be sent the link to join the workshop closer to the time.
