Join us on a friendly social bike ride during the 2025 Great Big Green Week!

We'll be following a beautiful 9-mile route looping around Frome, taking in Nunney and Trudoxhill, stopping just over half way round for a break at Cafe Nouveau in Tytherington. Check out our route here. This is a fairly easy ride on quiet roads with a few gentle hills. No one will be left behind and we have planned in lots of stops along the way - this is a social ride, not a fitness test or a race! We'll be out for about 3 hours, including a cafe stop.

This ride is for adults over the age of 18, however young children in bike seats, cargo bikes or trailers are welcome to come along on their adult's bike. You will need to bring a roadworthy bike. Ebikes and non-ebikes are all welcome.

It is free to take part but numbers are limited, so please book your free place. By taking part in the ride you agree to our ride Ts&Cs here (please take a moment to read through these ahead of the ride)

This event has been made possible thanks to National Lottery funding and is part of Green and Healthy Frome, which offers support and activities to make choices that are good for your health and the health of the planet. To find out more and get involved go to www.greenhealthyfrome.org

Frequently asked questions

Can children join this ride?

Yes! But the people doing the pedalling need to be over 18 so any young children need to be either on a bike seat, in a trailer or in a cargo bike.

Can I use an ebike?

Yes! Please ensure your ebike complies with the law: electric assistance only applies up to 25kph/15.5mph; the motor is 250 Watts or less; the pedals must be in motion to start the motor assistance. More details here: www.cyclinguk.org/article/electric-cycles-and-law-what-you-need-know

How do I know if my bike is roadworthy?

Before the ride check over your bike following an 'M check'. There's a great guide to an M check here: www.sustrans.org.uk/our-blog/get-active/mcheck/ plus we'll check over our bikes together before we set off.

Who can I contact with any questions before joining a ride?
