With its spectacular Jurassic Coast, rolling hills, beautiful beaches, historic houses and gardens, ancient castles and forts, idyllic villages and charming market towns, East Devon and Dorset is truly unique. Quiet country lanes and a network of footpaths make it an ideal destination for our solos guided walking holiday.
We walk on the first afternoon, then four more days. We generally take a packed lunch, but may stop at one of the area’s lovely pubs or cafes. This holiday is run by local guides who have a vast knowledge of this beautiful area. We stay at the the Royal Glen hotel, close to the sea front at Sidmouth- an ideal location for our walks in this area. Lovely breakfasts and dinner.
Walking is moderate, some ascending and descending – there is the South West coast path as part of our walking, and you should be walking fit.
We pride ourselves on how we create a social feel- so join us on this sociable active holiday where we meet as strangers and depart as friends.
We organise everything for you – from the minute you arrive to when you depart.
The holiday cost is £ 800 with no extra single supplements, which includes your own en-suite room.

A selection of Walks- dependent on the ability of the group and of course the weather.
From Sidmouth to Weston, along the South West coast path to Beer. Sometimes swinging inland to take in the famous donkey sanctuary, and back to Sidmouth over Salcombe Hill.
From Sidmouth – west over Peak Hill to Ladram Bay, then on to Otterton. A walk along the lovely River Otter, and on green lanes back over Mutters Moor, or simply retrace your steps on the coast path down to Sidmouth- with magnificent views.
From Lyme Regis – through the valley of the River Lim, and take in some of the Jurassic coast – where possible- erosion does tend to close some sections.
A country walk from the hotel to Sidbury, a lovely village – over Beacon Hill then back along the River Sid.
Exploring Branscombe and the surrounding hills and valley – the NT managed estate is ideal for a walk over green hills and fields and down to it’s famous smuggler’s beach.
