<P>It's the start of a new year - join us for a drink and some nibbles at social enterprise Bar/Restaurant, <A HREF="http://www.thebrigade.co.uk/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Brigade restaurant/bar" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Brigade</A>.</P>
<P><SPAN>Brigade provide apprenticeships to those who are at risk of, or have experienced homelessness. </SPAN><SPAN>Most were living in hostels and a large number were ex-offenders or had issues with substance abuse. These types of employment opportunities are essential because they afford<SPAN> those who typically struggle to find their place in the jobs market to gain valuable skills, get paid, and resume as normal lives as possible.</SPAN></SPAN></P>

<P><STRONG>On Purpose and _Social Starters join hands to bring together their networks of purpose-driven professionals.</STRONG></P>
<P>We are a group of passionate people who believe in the idea that we can all make a positive impact in the community and in the world at large.</P>
<P>Live Your Legend founder, Scott Dinsmore, pointed out in his incredible <A HREF="https://www.ted.com/talks/scott_dinsmore_how_to_find_work_you_love" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ted Talk</A>" that 80% of people surveyed in a Deloitte study weren't happy or fulfilled in their work. He talks about the importance of being part of a community where it's okay to take the road less travelled, to be encouraged and inspired to change.</P>
<P>And so the <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/groups/purposedrivenetwork/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="The Purpose Driven Network" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Purpose-Driven Network</A> was formed, to bring together like minded business professionals who want to make a positive change in their lives and careers. Whether you're seeking a more purpose-driven career, if you currently work for or run a social impact organisation, or you are keen to do more to support the movement, you are invited to join us for some drinks and networking to meet up, share stories, and build your inner circle.</P>

<P><SPAN>Many professionals are no longer satisfied with only creating shareholder returns and instead believe that socially and environmentally-focused business models can help solve society's toughest problems. In 2010 we started our Associate Programme in London to attract and develop leaders for purpose-driven businesses. We have now expanded to Paris and Berlin and launched a CEO Programme to develop those already running purpose-driven organisations.</SPAN></P>
