It is becoming increasingly difficult for businesses to recruit technicians; a problem that may be even more severe for the smaller and microbusinesses that are typically found in a science park. Work commissioned by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation suggests microbusinesses will only be able to grow efficiently by developing specialist technician roles, and school and college leavers who have followed a 'Technical Level' qualification are the perfect recruits for these positions.
