Guest Event: Modulus Quartet presents - Modulation #1

Part of Theatreship's guest nights - where contemporary artists take over the ship to highlight the stories they want to tell.

In this edition, the Modulus Quartet take to our stage to showcase new string quartet writing.

Join acclaimed Modulus Quartet in the intimate setting of the Theatreship, Canary Wharf, for a stunning programme of music from an international roster of composers: Nicholas de Carlo, Malcolm Lindsay, Eliot Lloyd Short, Veera Lummi and Siobhan Connellan.

Modulus Quartet specialises in performing original string quartet repertoire written in close collaboration with a number of international composers. Drawing on its collective experience, the quartet seeks out music of an individual style, developing creative relationships with composers and artists. The quartet explores new ways of presenting music, performing in unusual venues and incorporating visual arts and multi-media technology.

Theatreship is committed to broadening access to the arts - we know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some. If the regular ticket price is beyond what you feel able to afford for whatever reason, please don't hesitate to email us at tickets@theatreship.co.uk and we will send over a ticket at whatever price works for you, no questions asked. This is a sincere policy so do please take us up on it! We dont want anyone to be unable to come to an event at Theatreship for financial reasons so if you like the look of the event but don't like the look of the ticket price, do please get in touch!

We also offer arts supporter tickets, for those that can, to pay a higher price to support the venue, the artists who perform here and subsidised tickets for others.

Due to the historic nature of the ship, we’re sorry to say there is not currently step-free access into the theatre space.
