This is for anyone who always meant to draw or paint outdoors but never quite got round to it. All artistic levels welcome. We will meet at the Dorenell Visitor Centre and head to Blackwater Lodge and back, taking in and sketching the sights. It is an 11km walk in total so please come prepared with any art materials you can comfortably carry as well as weather appropriate clothing. We will stop at the lodge to sketch and have a snack so please bring food and water for energy.

The walk will be led by Rebecca Underdown, one of our rangers and landscape artist.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring art materials?

Please bring your own sketchbook, we can provide pencils, pastels and charcoal should you need them.

Where are the nearest toilets?

There are no toilets on the walk but there are toilets at the Dorenell Visitor Centre at the start and end of the walk.
