Training perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors &amp; wants to build confidence, gain new skills &amp; support others on their walking journey!

Strathaven Scout and Guide Centre

Join Lisa from Keep Scotland Beautiful for guided tour training sessions over two days where you'll gain the skills to be a competent Tour Guide.During the first session you will discuss what makes a good Tour Guide, learn how to create a risk assess for your proposed walk whilst keeping your audience interested and engaged throught the tour!You will be tasked to choose a place of interest that you will be assessed on on your seconday day of training. You will only be required to talk for 10mins max on your place of interest.Free lunch, tea/coffe and biscuits provided each day, please indicate dietry requirements on the sign up form!Please note that you will need to attend both sessions (10th &amp; 24th March) to receive your Accrediation Certificate.This event has been organised by Community Action Lanarkshire as part of our <a href="https://makeyourwaylanarkshire.com/" title="https://makeyourwaylanarkshire.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Make Your Way</a> Project.Accessing the venueParking at the Long Stay car park at Station Road, when exiting the car park turn right, and head for Kirk Street and you can find the Scout Hall on the left hand side.If you have any questions, please email Lisa.snedden@keepscotlandbeautiful.org.
