Guided Walk: Springtime at Thorley

Thorley Wash Nature ReserveThorley, England
Sunday, Apr 12, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm GMT+1
Overview

Enjoy a guided walk around Thorley Wash Nature Reserve to enjoy the sights and sounds of this special place as we move into spring.

Led by Robert, our Volunteer Warden, learn about, and possibly see, some of the residents and seasonal visitors such as warblers and water voles and look out for other signs of spring.

In spring, you will find this reserve alive with birdsong and spring and early summer are also a great time to discover wildflowers, with the golden yellow of Marsh Marigold, amethyst spikes of Purple Loosestrife and the bright pinks of Ragged Robin.

Please be aware there is a deep step up to the bridge that leads across the Stort onto the reserve, which may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.

Suitable for ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
