Cheapside, the oldest tree, Cockney bells, the Royal Mint on trial and, of course, Guildhall – centre of City Government for 600 years.

St Pauls underground, exit 2 by the Co-op

Starting from St Pauls underground station we'll explore the back alleys around the old market area of Cheapside, stand beneath the City's oldest tree, perhaps hear some famous bells, discover one of the City's many peculiar ceremonies and, of course, visit Guildhall yard and its 2,000 years of history.The tour takes around 2 hours and finishes at Postmans' Park, handy for the underground and City Thameslink station.Afterwards, for those interested, lunch or drinks in a traditional pub DOGS - tempting as it might be to bring your canine companion along, some people are nervous of even the most well behaved animals, even if on a lead.
