Hack Ballet is a contemporary ballet company that creates thought provoking performances for theatrical and non theatrical spaces. We blend classical ballet and contemporary dance techniques to create athletic, lyrical dance with a focus on social issues.The company's mission is to present a strong aesthetic vision of the world as it is and as it could be - celebrating diversity and equality, tradition and orginality.

These events are broadcast in the London (GMT+1) timezone but you are welcome to join us from anywhere in the world!WEDNESDAY3pm Contemporary Ballet - Inter/AdvancedTHURSDAY6.15pm Stretch Conditioning7pm Contemporary Ballet - Beginners8.30pm Pointe - BeginnersFRIDAY6pm PlyoballetSATURDAY11am Contemporary Ballet - GeneralCLASS DESCRIPTIONSContemporary Ballet80 Minutes (5 minute break halfway)Warmup exercises similar to what you would do in a traditional ballet &quot;Barre&quot; Class, but without holding on to anythingPort de bras (posture and movement of the upper body and armsAdagio (slow movements incorporating balances and isometric strengthening)Pirouettes (strengthening exercises for the feet, legs and whole body to enable turns in various positions)Jumps (preparation and strengthening exercises with or without impact depending on your physicality and the space you are working in)Beginners will find Flow Barre easy to follow. Those with some experience can take both parts to progress from technical fundamentals to more creative choreographic combinations!Stretch Conditioning40 MinutesBallet based mobility and conditioning exercises to increase working range of movement and control with and without hip rotationContemporary Ballet WorkshopLearning and Developing a choreography combination and incorporating performance skills
