Hackney Wick Through Young Eyes report launch

Hackney Questhas been helping young people, families and the local community reach their potential since 1988.TheHackney Wick Youth Voiceproject is run by Hackney Quest, with young people in leading roles, aimed at ensuring that the ideas and concerns of local young people are heard.It is commissioned byWick Award, through the National Lottery “Big Local” initiative.

During six months in 2017, we engaged over 400 local young people in Hackney Wick through workshops, interviews, focus groups, surveys and events. We asked them for their perspective on their area – what they love, the issues they face, and what they would like to change.
The result is our report, “Hackney Wick Through Young Eyes”, which centres on the ideas and concerns of local young people, in their words. The launch event will be the perfect opportunity to pick up a copy of the report and to hear directly from our team and from some of the young people themselves, on everything from gentrification and housing to chicken shops and football pitches.
THIS EVENT IS ENTIRELY FREE, BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
