HackTheMidlands is an inclusive hackathon open to anyone, of any skill levels &lt;3

We provide a unique space for hundreds of passionate technologists like you to share their experiences, meet new people and learn something new - gaining valuable skills in the process.In light of the COVID-19 situation, HackTheMidlands 5.0 is running online! We're going to be using our Discord (<a href="https://discord.gg/hackthemidlands" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://discord.gg/hackthemidlands</a>) to bring y'all together with a similar community feel as usual, but whilst keeping everyone safe :) Make sure to join the Discord, and work through the "👉start-here" channel to get involved! But what is going to happen at the event?Over the event, people of all skill levels (you don't have to be a professional or a student! Just be lovely, passionate and interested in tech!) will come together to share ideas, and create new and awesome projects! (Not sure what a hackathon is? MLH have a great explanation <a href="https://mlh.io/college-administrator-hackathon-guide" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>). There'll also be fun minigames, challenges and a vibrant community to make sure you have an absolutely wonderful time.But I don't have any experience - I won't be any good!Nonsense - Everyone has to start somewhere, and we will have mentors at the event to help you along. One of the most awesome qualities of hackathons is the sheer number of lovely people that you'll meet at them, so no matter your skill level or expertise, you'll always be able to have an awesome time, pick up loads of new skills, and make new friends!
