Half Term Busy Bee Workshop!
An amazing chance for children to learn all about bees and beekeeping in this hands on workshop!
Join us at Potteric Carr Nature reserve this half term to learn all about the wonderful life of bees! This workshop will include a talk from a professional bee keeper, from the amazing 'More Bees Please'. There will be a chance to see real life honey bees. Children will be able to try on bee keeping suits, be shown different hive types and ask questions.
There will then be a hands on activity where children will be able to make their own beeswax candle to take home. There will also be delicious local honey on offer to try and buy.
Tickets also include access to our Busy Bee trail, which is on for the entire month of May at Potteric Carr. This trail includes fun facts and bee challenges to find around the reserve as well as a buzzing quiz. There is then even more bee-tastic fun to be had making bee crafts and taking home your very own packet of flower seeds at the end of the trail.
It is an amazing chance for kids to learn something new, get outdoors, have a go at hands on crafts and spark a new interest in our amazing buzzy friends!
Children must be supervised by an adult. Tickets for this event include FREE admission to Potteric Carr Nature Reserve for 1 supervising adult. For any additional adults accessing the reserve normal admission fees apply. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 5.
