Common Ground Theatre presents, HAMLET by William Sheakespeare
Common Ground Theatre presents a thoughtful and heartfelt take on one of Shakespeare’s most iconic tragedies. This production of Hamlet shifts the focus from revenge to the emotional impact of grief, mental health, and family breakdown. At the heart of the play are three young people - Hamlet, Ophelia, and Laertes - each struggling to cope with profound personal loss and the complex pressures placed upon them.
Infused with the raw power of live music and song, this heartfelt, new production draws audiences deep into the emotional heart of Shakespeare’s masterpiece — not as distant observers of royal intrigue, but as fellow souls navigating love, loss, and the fragile edge of sanity.
“Scenes sored… a treat!… Jemmett’s Elizabethan / Folk / Dylan style music was terrific, exemplary accompaniment”
