Each semester, the University organises free open lectures on a wide variety of topics and aimed at a general audience.We distribute information on upcoming lectures via a weekly e-newsletter.  If you would like to receive the newsletter pleasejoin our mailing list.  Updated lecture details are also available on our web pages. Our web pages are updated frequently.The majority of lectures are held on the University campus. There is a regular bus service and the campus is easily accessible by bicycle. Why does Hamlet have such an extraordinary hold on our cultural imagination?  Come and explore some of the wonderful detail of the play and its histories in print and performance with Professor Lucy Munro to enhance your enjoyment of the production at <A HREF="http://www.shakespearesrosetheatre.com/york/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre</A>.
Professor Lucy Munro is Professor of Early Modern English Drama at King’s College London. She publishes and speaks widely on early modern playing companies and playhouses and on editorial and playing practices in the early modern period and beyond. 
Please note that this venue is not wheelchair accessible.
