Handmade Paper & Bookbinding Workshop

Overview

Join us for a two-part workshop series where we hand-make seed paper then bind each sheet into a beautiful journal.

Using leftovers from previous zine-making workshops, join us for a two-part workshop series where we hand-make seed paper then bind each sheet into a beautiful journal.

1️⃣ Sat 7th Feb – Session 1

In the first session, you'll learn how to make sheets of wildflower seed-filled handmade paper from waste rescued from our previous zine-making workshops, with guidance every step of the way.

2️⃣ Sun 8th Feb – Session 2

Then in our second session, you'll learn bookbinding techniques to turn those sheets of paper into a journal. Once its pages are used up, plant them and watch as the wildflowers bloom, supporting our beautiful Highland ecosystem 🦋

This workshop series is hosted by Cut Out Club and is a little different from our usual cut n paste zine-making offering.

While we would encourage you to join us for both sessions, it is not necessary to do so. Each session is designed for you to have a full experience.

If you are unable to hand-make paper with us, we can provide you with some pre-made sheets. If you are unable to join us to make your handmade paper into a journal, let us know so we can ensure your sheets are returned to you when dry.

Each session will include a hot meal for lunch halfway through to chat, eat, and connect. There will also be unlimited tea and biscuits throughout.

Generously supported by Scotmid Coop Community Grant and the Highlands and Islands Climate Hub's Climate Action Fund.
