Step back in time and get hands-on with history!

Experience the authentic craft of lime pointing in the heart of Derbyshire's stunning countryside.

Join us in Wirksworth on Sunday 28th September 2025 for a unique one-day workshop led by SPAB Fellow Richard Jordan; a true master of traditional building skills.

Roll up your sleeves and learn to mix mortars, prepare stonework and expertly point a historic Derbyshire Field Barn.

This isn't just a workshop; it is an immersive journey into the heart of heritage preservation. From understanding the properties of lime to mastering the tools of the trade, you'll gain practical skills and a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship that shaped our landscapes.

Please dress appropriately for working outdoors. Safety boots with toe caps are essential. (Let us know if you need assistance with sorting safety boots).

Book now for the Early Bird price of £150 (including VAT) and secure your place for an unforgettable day learning about lime and lime pointing in the Derbyshire countryside. Lunch will be provided.

If the event is sold out, please add your name to the waiting list and we will be in touch if a space becomes available or if we are able to run an additional session(s).

Topics Covered: Health & Safety, understanding lime, mixing mortars, stonework, chasing mortar joints out, pointing stone work
