Agenda

Think Like a Customer: Roger Cutsforth in Conversation with Paul Coleman

Roger Cutsforth, Paul Coleman, Humanise

To fully understand people it's not about the right questions for ChatGPT, it's about putting yourself in a customer's shoes. Observing, feeling and talking about their lives, their wants and their needs. At Humanise we believe it has never been more important to connect with others, spending time with them to understand motivations and give clarity to actions. We've cooked meals with families who only own one pan, and we've watched families make numerous evening meals to accommodate all the families dietary needs. Both of these families ticked a box to say they find meal times stressful. Different stresses, stemming from very different starting points. Thinking Like A Customer takes more than a few bar graphs and a word cloud, you need to become them, walk alongside them and listen to both what they are saying and what they are avoiding saying out loud.

Know Before You Grow: Why Audience Strategy Comes First in Podcasting

Alex Jungius, Becky Lamb-Pritchard, Distorted

Before you brief your production team or commit budget to a new show, there's a more important question to answer: who are you actually making this for? Duhh! Understanding your audience properly changes everything about how you approach podcasting. We'll look at listener habits, why planning actually matters, and the reason long-form content is quietly winning while everyone else is panicking about TikTok.
