Harrowtide - A Danger Close Horus Heresy event

RULES FORMAT: The Age of Darkness rulebook 3.0 official latest Games Workshop updates & supplements. This includes all options released prior to the event. No fan content. This has been updated in July and the event pack doubles rules - e.g reaction allowance. Will be changed ASAP.

This is a doubles event, and teams are formed of 2 individuals.

NUMBER OF GAMES: 4

SIZE OF GAMES: 3,500 points (1,750 per doubles partner), selected from the Crusade force organisation chart from any of the official Games Workshop Libers.

DOUBLES RULES:

POINTS: Please note each player has a limit of 1,750 points - these cannot be shared or transferred.

WARLORDS: Each player must select a Warlord.

However, one warlord must be selected as the overall army Warlord.

ALLIES: The Allied Detachment cannot be used for this event. You and your partner are allies! The Allies chart is not in effect and you may count your partner's forces as Fellow Warriors following all the normal rules (p283 AoD)

REACTIONS: Each doubles team share the same Base Reaction Allotment of one per phase and the reaction limits of three (p158 AoD). Each player is entitled to use their advanced reaction per the normal restrictions (ie once a game, only effects units entirely with correct LA(X) etc).

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART

This is a friendly event - we love characterful, narrative driven armies and games as well as objective-driven, troop-orientated scenarios and this event will reflect that.

To emphasise this Primarchs are not permitted and while special characters are not explicitly banned, we strongly encourage players to come and tell the stories of their own heroes and generals.

Lords of War are permitted, and points limitations are based on the teams combined points of 3,500 (i.e. 25% limit of 875).

We know there are some RoW combinations that can make the game unpleasant for the other players (DG and DA turning the floor to lava…), this is a friendly event so play to your team’s narrative but please keep things as enjoyable for your opponents as they will be for you!
