Join bestselling author Hazel McBride to talk about her new book ‘A Queen Forged in Flames’, introduced by Kalie Reid. Ticket includes book

We're delighted to welcome Hazel McBride to the shop - A fate Forged in Fire has been such a favourite here!

Here to launch its sequel, A Queen Forged in Flames, Hazel will be talking about her work and signing copies, all introduced by author Kalie Reid.

HAZEL MCBRIDE is a Scottish author now living in the Netherlands. After gaining her BSc in Psychology at the University of Glasgow, she moved to the Dominican Republic. Switching the laid-back Caribbean for the sun-drenched Canary Islands a year later, she then moved to the South of France and is now fluent in three languages. She is a member of the LGTBQIA+ community and having diverse and queer characters feature prominently in her novels is hugely important to her.

Kalie Reid grew up just outside Portland, Oregon, a place best known for the rain and incredible coffee. She moved to Belfast over a decade ago and has lived there ever since, enjoying the Guinness, her cat Dorothy, and even more rain. Her romantasy debut about an exiled saint and the iconographer sent to paint him, The Sacred Space Between, came out in 2025 with Harper Voyager.
