DescriptionThe Student Support and Experience Team are holding Mock Exam sessions for undergraduate students on any HCA programme. The sessions are open to all students from years 1 to 4.The sessions will take place as follows:<ul><li>Monday 22 April - 1:45-4pm in the Meadows Lecture Theatre</li><li>Thursday 25 April - 9:45-12pm in Teviot Lecture Theatre</li></ul>Please choose a ticket for your preferred session.What to expectThe session will provide students with the opportunity to practice a past paper under something similar to exam conditions. You might not finish a whole paper during the mock exam, but we hope it will be a helpful way to self-test and practice writing an answer under timed conditions.Please note that you will be required to bring your own past paper or piece of work and your answers will not be marked.Please arrive promptly, exam conditions will be in place and you may not be granted access if you arrive late.The mock exam will be run the Student Support and Experience Team. If you need to leave the room at any point, or if you are feeling worried or concerned, the Student Support and Experience Team office will be open, and we’ll be on hand to help.Students who have booked a ticket and attend will be able to pick up a £5 voucher for the University of Edinburgh cafes! (Please note that vouchers can be redeemed at all UoE cafes except Nucleus Kings Buildings).What you need to bring:Please bring your own past paper and materials to write/type your answers. You can find example past papers for your courses online: <a href="https://exampapers.ed.ac.uk/" title="https://exampapers.ed.ac.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Exam Papers (ed.ac.uk)</a>. Please note that not all exams will have past papers available online, but the course organiser will be able to provide a specimen paper for you to use. These can usually be found in Learn, but you should contact the course organiser ahead of the mock exam if you are unable to find a paper.Come prepared to sit your chosen past paper under exam conditions. The exam will be taking place in a lecture hall so bear this in mind. You will be able to leave to go to the bathroom at any time.You may wish to bring a bottle of water. There is a water fountain located in the hallway near the lecture theatre.
