Agenda
-
Arrival, Grounding, and Introduction | Welcome & Settling in
Participants arrive, and settle into the space with warm tea or water, with brief welcome from the facilitators. A short guided grounding meditation to bring everyone into the present moment. What is one thing you are hoping to release today, or one intention you are hoping to give flight to? Participants briefly share their names and intentions.
-
The Blueprint: Introduction to the Craft
Facilitator demonstrates the basic anatomy of a kite (spine, spar, sail, and tail). Explanation of how the physical tension in the kite mirrors the balance we seek in our own lives. Participants select their materials (bamboo/wood, paper/fabric, string).
-
The Focus (Construction)
Participants begin measuring, cutting, and lashing their kite frames together. The room is kept relatively quiet, perhaps with soft instrumental music, to encourage deep focus. The facilitator walks around to assist with knots and measurements, using this time for gentle, one-on-one check-ins.
