Help me tell you what matters: Talking Mats and visual tools to support children to express thoughts and feelings. Practical workshop looking at visual tools for supporting children to talk about what matters to them, and how they feel. This session’s focus is on Talking Mats: a practical tool to help children think about things that matter to them and communicate their thoughts and feelings effectively. This session is suitable for carers of all ages of children and children with disabilities. This tool can also be used with non-verbal children. Please note: this is not a formally accredited Talking Mats training course – it is a sharing of strategies for using tools such as Talking Mats to support children. Delivered by Toria Crooks, Speech and Language Therapist.
