Hemlock Control
A hands-on volunteering opportunity with the Natural Environment team removing Hemlock from our wetland habitiats
Controlling hemlock in wet meadows is vital to protect biodiversity and it's rapid spread can dominate wetland habitats. Regular removal prevents habitat degradation, supports native species and maintains the health of these sensitive ecosystems. Volunteers will cut and clear hemlock by hand with suitable tools.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your volunteer hours and make a positive difference to a protected and sensitive site.
We'll meet at Ouaisne carpark.
Please bring your own refreshments.
Tools will be provided.
Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes / boots. If you have gardening gloves you are welcome to bring them with you!
