Join Castaway Ropeworks to make your own plant pot stand or hot pot stand from rope that has been recovered from the beaches of Cornwall.

Come and meet Castaway Ropeworks at Trebah and learn the heritage of rope making.

Make your very own plant pot stand or hot pot stand to take home from rope that has been recovered from the beaches of Cornwall.

Have a go on their mini rope maker and then create your item using traditional seamanship skills.

All materials and tools provided.

• Why ghost gear is such a problem.
• Safety when beach cleaning.

Heritage of rope making – Powerpoint & tools demonstrations.

• Have a go.
• Make a piece of rope using the downsized rope machine.
• Make a trivet/ plant pot mat from ghost gear rope using the heritage tools.

Location: Please enter via the Visitor Centre. You will be directed where to go from there. The event is being held in Trebah House.

Refreshment availability: Trebah Kitchen will be open.

Garden entry: If you would like to explore the garden before or after the workshop, non-members will need to purchase garden entry.

When to arrive: Please arrive with enough time for the event to start at the advertised time.

Dogs: Assistance dogs only please.
