About this event
There is probably no skill more critical for success than resilience, but what exactly is it and how do you develop it? Being able to continue to function, recover and even grow through adversity are key characteristics of personal resilience.
In this module of Ethical Reading’s Thriving at Work training, we'll take a deep dive into personal resilience and how to develop it.
The module wil cover:
- What does personal resilience mean to you?
- How to build resilience
- A simple resilience model
- The paradox of control
After registering, we kindly ask that you join the event at least 5 minutes early — each module follows a tight timeline, and we’d love for you to catch everything from the start!

About the speaker
Mark Quirk - MSc CertLM
Mark is passionate about helping people live healthy and engaged lives through coaching and training, with a holistic approach combining psychological and physiological approaches to health and resilience.
He holds an MSc in applied psychology, a Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine, certifications in nutrition coaching, and is a Master Health Coach. This is his second career, starting with a computer science degree and a 22-year career in software, mostly at Microsoft. Of course, this means he’s getting on a bit, but experience, as they say, is all.
