About this event
Fortunately, most of us can communicate without much effort or thought. But, despite lifelong practice, there is more than enough evidence to show that a large percentage of us are actually not that good at it. Most of us remember numerous examples of ambiguous, incorrect, untimely, rude, insensitive, inappropriate, and even totally missing communications with our managers, peers, and staff.
In this module of Ethical Reading’s Thriving at Work training, we explore this issue and provide practical techniques for improving your communications with others.
The module will cover:
- The three modes of communication
- The importance of attention, and how to pay it and get it
- The questioning funnel
- The six levels of listening
After registering, we kindly ask that you join the event at least 5 minutes early — each module follows a tight timeline, and we’d love for you to catch everything from the start!
