Description

Hey Good Spender

A Social Marketplace hosted by The Trampery, curated by Good Apples

As part of Social Enterprise UK’s annual Social Saturday campaign, The Trampery Old Street will be hosting a one-of-a-kind event to inspire shoppers to buy from other social enterprises. Trampery Republic members Good Apples will be curating a marketplace of social businesses making beautiful, innovative and responsible products.

Join us anytime from 4 pm to peruse the 15+ stalls that will be selling clothing, accessories, homeware and more. Come early evening, ethical drinks and nibbles will be served.

The amazing brands that will be joining us include:

Know the Origin who create classic organic cotton clothing for men and women that support workers from seed to garment, paying close attention to every stage of the making process.

Wyatt and Jack who make bright and durable tote bags out of old bouncy castles and deck chair waste.

Juta Shoes, a social enterprise who create handcrafted espadrilles using reclaimed leather and environmentally-friendly materials while supporting women into work. They’ll also be leading a workshop so you can make your own shoes using traditional stitching techniquesSIGN UP HERE.

Chilpa who handcraft fairly traded, ethical scarves and homeware using centuries-old artisanal techniques with contemporary design.

Elvis and Kresse who make hard wearing luggage and other products out of London’s decommissioned fire hose, donating profits to the Fire Fighters Charity.

Hopeful Traders, a clothing brand that collaborates with people affected by homelessness and mental illness to design their clothing, with the proceeds from sales going back to those who created them.

Project Pico, Fairtrade and organic cotton underwear designers who have a close connection to the people and processes behind their making.

Good Life London who work with local artists and designers to produce original jewellery and apparel, donating their profits to grassroots organisations working in the city.

Siku Moja, who make sustainable ‘smalls’, using materials from ethical sources and valuing everyone in their supply chain.

Aerende, a social enterprise ‘department store’ which brings together ethically made homeware products from makers facing social challenges.

The Hard Yard, a social enterprise that provides tough prison workouts, taught by ex-offenders.

Thraedable, a clothing range that supports social projects with each item designed and inspired by the people that the projects support.

And Trampery Old Street members Lemonaid will be mixing a selection of luscious cocktails from their range of Fairtrade soft drinks, that support growing communities abroad.

If you know of an organisation with forward-thinking products who might like to get involved drop Good Apples a line.
