H.H Womens Netwalking
Women only Netwalking. Catch up & make new connections. Shake off the mince pies, be out in nature & regulate your nervous system.
Walking has so many health benefits πΆββοΈβ¨ & from a nervous system perspective it is so grounding πΏπ§
Networking builds community π€ and collaboration π±
So why not combine the two? π
Parking is limimted & can fill up fast πβ° so give yourself enough time to find a spot and get to the meeting point.
We will meet outside the Crown Pub on Didsbury RoadπΊ at 10:45am π₯ and work our way down the cobbled street πͺ¨ and into Mersey Vale Nature Park π³ & along the river path π (weather permitted βοΈπ§οΈ) before looping back round to finish where we started. Everyone is welcome to stay, get warm π₯ and purchase a refreshment from the bar βπ».
The route is mostly flat π but does finish on a cheeky hill β°οΈ back to the meeting point (the hill is about 200m long & a maximum elevation of 50m πͺ).
Total distance of the walk is roughly 5.5km
The pub and the walk route are pet friendly ππΎ so all well-behaved doggies are welcome π¦΄π.
The walk will be at a steady pace πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ to give everyone a chance to have a proper natter π£οΈπ
There will be plenty of pit stops along the way βΈοΈπΏ.
The vast majority of the walk is along a path π€οΈ however it can get a bit muddy and puddly in certain parts π¦ so be sure to wear appropriate footwear ππ₯Ύ.
This isnβt a fitness event π ββοΈπ¦ so you donβt have to be a seasoned walker. Itβs simply a chance to get out in the fresh air π, make some meaningful connections π¬π and nourish our nervous systems ππ§ .
π Β£2 of every ticket purchased will be donated to a local charity: Stockport Without Abuse π
