PV: 30 April 2026 | 6 - 9pm
Social Spider is excited to present Hiber Nation, a 20-artist group exhibition curated by ekabo donyi, running from 30 April to 2 May 2026 at 162 Holloway Road, N7 8QD. In collaboration with Kat Easto, the gallery is transformed into a giant “blanket fort”, framing rest as a space of care, slowness, and refuge against contemporary cultures of grindset and hyper-productivity. Through installation, sculpture, painting, performance, and more, the exhibition brings together varied approaches to rest and its many forms.
The site will house a wide range of practices and materials. Long connected to spaces of rest and leisure, art has helped shape how pleasure, pause, and everyday life are imagined. Hiber Nation brings this relationship into focus, inviting visitors to reconsider rest as a shared cultural space. A public programme will run throughout the exhibition including a private view, artist workshops, and film screening inviting audiences to take part in a culture that cares for recovery.
Featuring: Nurin Yusof · Martha Hine · #ffff00 · Zhen Zhen · ekabo donyi · Roland Knowlden · Arash Rafiei · Becky Hoghton · Fay Van Andel · Hannah Bailey · raj · Kennedy Schroeder · Jake Slipkovich · João Barreiros · not4m3 · George Miller · Kat Easto · Jesse Rist · Cara Jones · Scarlett Pochet · Monu
