The Circus and the Royal Crescent are two of Bath’s best known landmarks, yet the streets behind them, although no less fascinating, remain largely unknown. Despite widespread bombing in 1942 and post-war redevelopment, Bath’s ‘upper town’ contains some of the city’s finest Georgian buildings.
