History Weekend

Join us for a weekend of living history, with sword & archery displays and children's activities in the castle. *No booking required*

Northern Alliance re-enactors will be returning to the grounds of Castle Fraser with a 15th Century encampment on the 27th & 28th June. There will be displays throughout the weekend with the chance to get involved in some battle formations and archery!

Join us in the morning to get involved in the kids army and the afternoon for having a go at a spear formation. There will be firepower displays with bows and guns along with armed combat demonstrations throughout the day. The 'Have a go Archery' will also be running all weekend.

We'll also have the castle's sword collection on display in the Great Hall and we'll be demonstrating how we take care of these items in our collection.

Normal admission and car parking fees apply, National Trust members park and enter the castle for free! No need to pre-book, donations are very gratefully received!
