The HNC Acting and Performing students at New College Lanarkshire are proud to present an exciting Showcase of Theatre, celebrating the incredible talent and dedication of our first-year students. This event will feature a series of dynamic performances from a diverse range of plays, each selected to demonstrate the versatility and creativity of our budding actors.The students will take the stage in scenes drawn from some of the most compelling and thought-provoking playwrights, including Dennis Kelly, Ella Hickson, Tracy Letts, DC Jackson, Tony Kushner and many others.A varied programme that spans across multiple genres: from comedy to the intensity of dark drama, surreal theatre, and powerful explorations of challenging themes. Each piece is designed to provoke imagination, delve deep into the complexity of human emotions, and provide a window into the raw and often confronting truths of life.This showcase is more than just an evening of performances—it's an opportunity to witness the evolution of young actors, as they bring to life a rich array of characters, voices, and stories.Trigger Warning: Please be advised that this production contains scenes of sexual content, adult themes, and strong language.
