Weds 17 Sept, 7pm By means of photographs, maps and plans, this talk looks at the way in which railway installations in Pontefract have changed over the years. This talk is designed to describe in reasonable detail the changes that have taken place in Pontefract over the years, using a variety of illustrations from different periods.

Arrive in the first floor Nelson Room 10 minutes before the start time. There is a lift. Toilets are on the ground floor.

Although some topics may specifically relate to Pontefract and the surrounding towns and villages, we do include a wider geography and a broad range of heritage, social history, architecture, events and people. We also host an annual Design Awards event to recognise positive development and regeneration in the area across a number of categories, including the Countess of Rosse Facade of the Year Award.
