Homelessness: Creating Solutions
Event Information
About this event
Our End of Term lecture is dedicated to an important humanitarian issue we face in our own community. A growing number of people in the UK, including in Manchester, are sleeping rough. We are discussing this issue with Danny Collins (tour guide at Invisible Manchester), who will speak of his own experiences with homelessness. Alice Sparks (head of Invisible Manchester) and Nicola Sansom (CEO and Co-founder of S.A.L.V.E. International) will contribute to the discussion by discussing how their organisations seek to address homelessness in Britain and in sub-saharan Africa. How have our ideas to tackle homelessness evolved over time? What kind of solutions have proven helpful? And what can we do to help?
