About this event

Hourglass: A Suffragette’s story, follows Lady Caroline Braithwaite and her maidservant Kitty to the depths of despair brought on by merely being women in Edwardian England. As Lady Caroline grapples with this misfortune her daughter, Cordelia, tries desperately to undo the wrongs whilst trying not to follow in her mother’s footsteps. The tangled storyline, which is funny, tragic, tender and empowering, will keep you on the edge of your seat as the sand in the Hourglass trickles by.

A brand new play by Amy Leigh-Matthews and Vikki Thompson. With this year being an election year and 2028 marking 100 years when ALL women finally got the vote, this play couldn't be any more timely.
