How Can We Make Our Gardens Greener? - The Resilient Garden (Rescheduled)
The last talk of three FREE summer lunchtime sessions with the Gardens Trust to help us make our gardens greener
This Talk, originally scheduled for July, has been re-arranged for Wednesday, 22 October
Lots of us see gardens as sources of mental and physical well-being, places we can be in tune with nature. So how can we tend our own plots more sustainably – and where can we visit gardens that encourage biodiversity and show us how to make our gardens greener?
.....

Registration for tickets close 4 hours before the talk.

Week 3. 22 October: The Resilient Garden - When the going gets tough, the tough get growing
As we experience more extreme swings in weather due to climate change, we are told lists of tougher plants that can survive long dry periods. But how do these tough plants survive and thrive? And do we really have to shun all our favourites or are they superheroes in disguise?
With plant ecophysiologist and author of What to Grow for a Climate Resilient Garden (Greenfinch, 2025), Dr Amanda Rasmussen
