Description

This exciting talk draws together some of the most important evidence available today on how pupils can thrive at secondary school and delivers take-home tools and tips for students and families. In particular, Dr Weston will focus her attention on transition within secondary school, into GCSE or A Level years and how students can best prepare themselves for the challenges ahead.

After attending this talk you will understand:

  • Why exams matter

  • How to revise effectively

  • How to stay motivated and manage distractions

  • How to maximise your chances of excelling beyond school

  • How to look after your mental health at secondary school

  • Why parental support can really boost student attainment

This talk is ideal for students in years 10-12 and their parents, but open to anyone interested in how and why children thrive in the teen years and the role of parenting in that journey.
