How to be a good trustee

We are auditors and advisers to charities and social purpose organisations.Our objective is to play a positive role in developing and maintaining a strong and resilient charity and social purpose sector. The sector is wide and varied. It includes health & social care charities, international aid organisations, think tanks, membership bodies, theatres, museums and more besides. The one aspect that unites them is that they all play a role delivering social impact. Supporting them to do that is what motivates each and every member of the SV team.We deliver this objective through our services, as well as through the time and resources we invest back into the sector .

Sayer Vincent

This session is ideal as an induction for new trustees or a refresher for existing trustees, explaining the responsibilities and duties of charity trustees.
It will cover the role of the individual trustee within the governance structure and the nature of collective responsibility. The session will also update attendees on the latest governance developments and will contain a mix of presentation as well as structured discussion to discuss issues around the trustee role.
