The St Albans & District Model Engineering Society hosts one of it's less technical members discussing how to go about building a 5" gauge coal-fired minature steam engine capable of hauling up to half a dozen passengers. The project has taken five years so far and promises to take a few more before its ready to have its fire lit. A lot has been learnt about use of traditional metal workshop tools and machines in an effort to make a hald decent job of the locomotive. Plenty went wrong and a few things went right. Join us for a light hearted and hopefully inspiring review of dos and don't and mistakes made along the way.

There will be a break half way through for coffe and biscuits!
