About this event
Blank page. Blinking cursor. Brain’s gone walkabout. Sound familiar?
If blogging always sounds like a good idea, but never quite makes it to the top of your to-do list, this live workshop is for you.
In just 60 minutes, you’ll build your own blog ideas bank: a simple, sustainable stash of content prompts, themes and insights, all tailored to your private practice.
We’ll cover how to gather ideas that reflect your voice and your niche (don't have a niche? No problem), so writing becomes faster, easier, and a whole lot less stressful.
Whether you’re new to blogging or trying to get back into the rhythm, you’ll leave with a practical tool that helps you be more consistent without the pressure to always be “on.”
Expect warmth, humour, and a no-fluff, scrappy approach that works the way your brain does — not some polished content calendar you’ll never use.
Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event
- Participants will be able to create and organise a personalised blog ideas bank that supports consistent content creation for their practice.
- Participants will be able to create and organise a personalised blog ideas bank that supports consistent content creation for their practice.

Who is This Workshop Appropriate For?
- This workshop is ideal for counsellors in private practice who want to improve their visibility through blogging but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to write about. It’s suitable for those who are new to blogging as well as those who’ve written before but want to make content creation easier and more consistent.
How May This Workshop Impact Your Practice?
- Participants will leave with a ready-to-use tool that reduces the stress and time involved in content creation. By making blogging feel more manageable, the ideas bank can help counsellors show up more regularly and authentically online, which in turn can attract more of the right clients to their practice.

Jane Travis
I’ve been blogging for almost 20 years, and over that time I’ve seen just how powerful it can be - not just for sharing your message, but for helping the right clients find you.
Now, I help counsellors in private practice use blogging as a simple, sustainable starting point for marketing that feels good. Because once you've got that foundation in place, it's so much easier to build everything else, whether that's social posts, websites that connect or a more visible online presence overall.
I’m also the author of Grow Your Private Practice, host of the Grow Your Private Practice Podcast, and I run the Grow Your Private Practice Membership — so yes, there’s a bit of a theme. What can I say? I like things to do exactly what they say on the tin.
It’s become my mission to help therapists move past the fear of “getting it wrong” and start writing content that feels natural, useful, and genuinely connects. You don’t need to be a perfect writer, you just need a few tools (and a bit of encouragement) to get started.
I’m really looking forward to running this workshop and helping you build something simple but powerful that you can rely on, especially on the days when writing feels like a slog.
